Here you may see the new floor which has been "boxed". There is 6 inches high empty space below those green sheets.
Insulation, which will be cutter chips, will be poured on these sheets. Insulation layer will be 16 inches thick.
Why 6 inch high empty space? Well,
sometimes, during the winter, the temperature will drop as low as -30 celsius and in my theater, temperature will be
approx. +20 celsius. So, 50 degrees celsius difference is quite much! The concrete slab may "sweat" some moisture up
to the insulation but while there will be empty space between concrete slab and insulation, that would not be any problem.
